I need the phone wiring diagram for Phillips PH60037 Modular phone & Ethernet wall jack.?
My phone wire has 4 conductors Red, Green, Black, Yellow. The Phillips outlet has 6 terminals – the 4 listed plus Blue & White. Do i just not use the Blue & White?
Also, the 8 ethernet jack wire colors do not match the 4 twisted pair colors in the length of cat5 cable I purchased at Lowe’s. Can you help? There is an answer from “Rick” on the 8 colors, if it is correct. This ethernet line is to go from my computer wireless DSL router/modem to my DirecTV HD-DVR.

Blue/white connects to red, white/blue to green.
If you have standard Cat 5e cable, it will have four pairs in a plastic sheath, colored orange, green, blue, and brown, each pair having a solid color wire with white stripes, and a white wire with a stripe the color of its mate.

your phone jack is a 3 line jack… red/green would be line 1, yellow/black would be line 2 – this is the old color code… you would not need the blue white connection for the phone jack that you have since that would be the third line…
the CAT5 cable should have 4 twisted pairs blue, orange, green, brown… each with a corresponding striped white wire….
