black (original song) recorded using fourtrack on the iPhone 3GS
4 tracks to another 2 tracks. Step 5: recorded 2 vocal parts. That’s it! Completely recorded only using the in-built microphone in the iPhone and a pair of headphones. Mixed on the iPhone then recorded to the computer via headphone out jack. No extra modifications were made to the track once it was on the computer. Cool. So basically that’s Four rhythm guitars playing on the song? With 2 lead guitars coming in from time to time?

I just used the in-built mic.
I was playing a 1978 Maton CW-80. Multiple guitar tracks really helps in terms of the sound though.

That was meant to be “One question, you CAN’T plug in any instrument directly into the phone, right?”
Also please tell me which acoustic guitars or strings you use to get that wonderful sound?

Dude amazing song. Your voice is very laid back and cool. One question, you can plug in any instrument directly into the phone, right? It has to record from it’s mic?

As an avid Four track user I must say your guitar sounds are wonderful…Did you compress the solo parts with the app effects as well?
