Creative ways to cover this ugly cord?

I had AT&T U-Verse service installed today, and the only phone jack the installer could hook it up to is in the middle of my kitchen wall! The cord runs right down the wall from shoulder level to the floor. Is there some way to cover this and make it look nice?

You can purchase plastic tubing that the cord will go in…it attaches to the wall but looks nicer than a cord draping down the wall…lots of places carry these..places like office depot, maybe future shop..that sort of store.
