The 700 Club, where Pat Robertson made a very bad remark to Hugo Chavez, is not liked upon by ABC Family.

Fast forward to July 2008 so I can watch Picture This! and Secret Life.

Although Pat Robertson was (and is still) a whack-o, CBN showed a lot of great old series that you’ll never see on TV anymore (Hazel, The Farmer’s Daughter, Here Come The Brides, etc.)!

  5. Jack Montone Says:

Do you have any CBN promos for game shows?

  6. Jack Montone Says:

How odd for Pat Robertson-owned CBN to show secular programming…Hhmmm. I wonder how much money was in it for good ol’ Mr. Robertson.

  7. Jack Montone Says:

That was Jerry Janes. He did a lot of V/O work for CBN back then.

  8. Jack Montone Says:

V/O by Charlie Glaize, who once was a DJ at Robertson-owned WXRI 105.3 FM in the early-1980s. Why Pat started selling everything off during the 1980s and 1990s, only God and Pat know (much like his endorsing Rudy Giuliani).

The v/o for one of the other promos sounded similar to legendary CBS announcer Don Robertson.

  9. Jack Montone Says:

I remember all the CBN Shows from the fall of 1987!

Wow. It’s hard to believe the network lost money. ;-)
