Is it possible to hook up a cell phone to a home phone by using the telephone jack?
I wanted to know if there was any way or devices that would allow this to work.
Example: My cell phone rings, which is hooked up to the home phone. The home phone rings as if it were normally connected to a standard hone phone jack.
If possible, at all, I also want this to be as portable as possible. I have an antique phone that I can store the cell phone in so it’s not in plain view. I want the antique phone to ring when I get a call to my cell phone.
Thanks!
Forgot to add: I found 2 devices that sparked my question: Dock-N-Talk & a RCA Cell Docking System.
Thanks for the link joe r.
Actually, what I want to do is create a prop. I want it to be capable of receiving phone calls as it is lugged around. The phone calls would come through the cell phone, “somehow” connected to the phone line jack on the phone I carry, and have that ring.
If it would help any, I have AT&T as my carrier.

I highly doubt it. Cell phones and jack phones aren’t even close technologically.

i hate when people answer questions that dont have a clue… any how, you did not specify the type of cellular that you are using, or carrier. There is much technology for GSM phones, here is a website with many GSM to landline soloutions:
http://www.gsmsave.com/
while many of these devices are designed for business or PBX use, you can use most of them for single line, residential use..
I believe that you place your sim card directly into these devices..
