what is a low cost/easy/reliable backup software?

I’m looking for backup software that is low cost for home use but also reliable and easy to use. I’d like to be able to have it backup automatically to an external USB 80GB HD.

  1. 250gb usb hard drive $100 from walmart

  2. I only have Windows software:

Try Microsoft ActiveSync or Microsoft SyncToy (XP only). You can get them by searching “ActiveSync” or “Powertoys for Windows XP” at the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com). Also, try making a batch file(email me for details).

If you are still having trouble, I can be reached at kevin__-chen@yahoo.com. And yes, there are two underscores (_).

  3. If you’re using Windows XP, it has backup built-in, but you have to load it, it isn’t loaded automatically with the operating system.

This Microsoft site will tell you how to load and use the backup utility.

  4. I have found that for home use a junk drive is the easiest to use and I have all my files on it..
